Growing Up Muslim Understanding the Beliefs and Practices of Islam

Author Sumbul Ali-Karamali offers her personal account, discussing the many and varied questions she fielded from curious friends and schoolmates while growing up in Southern California—from diet, to dress, to prayer and holidays and everything in between. She also provides an academically reliable introduction to Islam, addressing its inception, development and current demographics.Through this engaging work, readers will gain a better understanding of the everyday aspects of Muslim American life, to dispel many of the misconceptions that still remain and open a dialogue for tolerance and acceptance.
I choose this rating because I really liked Growing Up Muslim Understanding the Beliefs and Practices of Islam. That is the mark of a great book in my opinion.

The Rules of Engagement

The Rules of Engagement By Ally Blake
For Better, For Worse, For Ever? The first look, the first touch, the first kiss… Is there anything better than the beginning of a new relationship? Not for Caitlyn March-self-confessed relationship junkie. Now she’s sworn off “forever” for good. Three broken engagements make it clear that she-and her fickle heart-are not to be trusted….Enter Dax Bainbridge-the most deliciously handsome man she has ever met! He’s a man with enough oomph to make her forget her vows to steer clear of romance, but luckily his rules of engagement are simple. There’s no ring on offer-all he’s interested in is one unbelievably hot fling.…
Its a long story. It seems to be pointing out how things really so it is not so much a story to be read for pleasure or entertainment as it is to learn or educate.
The Rules of Engagement was very good. I didn’t want to put this book down when I read it. The ending really left me hanging though. I wish I could know what happens.

Enemy Lines Werewolf Erotica

Enemy Lines Werewolf Erotica By R.D. Fox
READ AN EXCERPT: I was just being to cramp up in my hiding place when the fighting wolves started to file out of the bunker. I saw Sebastian turn a corner of on his own into a dark passage and I thought, it was now or never. So I followed him and grabbed him from behind. I knew he could take me if I didn’t subdue him right away. He was a fighting wolf; I was a hunting wolf, if my prey was stronger than me I had to take it out as soon as I could so I brought with me a syringe full of horse tranquilizer and shoved it in his neck before he could sense me. I only injected the tiniest amount so it wouldn’t knock out a wolf but it would certainly subdue them. Sebastian looked up at me through fuzzy eyes and said, “You.” “Yes, I said. It’s me.” “You think killing me will stop this?” “I’m a hunting wolf Sebastian. If I wanted to kill you there would have been poison in that syringe, not mellow juice.” “Then what do you want?” I thought about that and the truth was I really didn’t know what I wanted or why I was here. Sebastian was just a hot one night stand; he wasn’t supposed to mean anything to me. So why did I want to know what I meant to him? Without an answer to give him I did the only thing I thought I could do; I kissed him. I poured my heart and soul into that kiss and for the life of me I didn’t know why. Was I crazy?
Enjoyable and thought provoking-Enemy Lines Werewolf Erotica will end up costing me a fortune by the time I read many of the titles discussed in it
I enjoyed it. Interesting how every has a meaning. I thought it was a very good read. Did tell friends to read.

This is a novel that is part societal dissection, part fairytale, part bildungsroman, part love story, It’s unlike anything you’ll ever read.
his outstanding literary skills and fantastic story line with his usual humorous passages, and his wonderful, punchy Le sang du suaire goes on my list of all-time favorites.
